“The Picker” went 1-1 last night publicly, hitting with the Thunder and losing with the Clippers.
Privately, he went 5-1 if this screen shot is to be believed:
His public record now sits at 6-4-1.
So why did he only make two picks on this site when he played a six-team parlay?
“I hate guys that give their clients that many games, so that’s why I only gave you the two. I really thought Clippers would come out to play vs a hot Grizz, but apparently not. Boooo,” he e-mailed.
I went 2-0 on the advice picks I gave to him (the Bobcats were actually favored), which he ignored.
Tonight, we shall see what “The Picker” comes up with. But he is going to be challenged by another picker, Gus Forrest, who says he plans to pick all 6 games — every line, and every over/under — to show “The Picker” how this is done.
Maybe this will develop into a real rivalry between the two. We shall see.
For those of you needing background, “The Picker” is making picks publicly here because he is good at this. I have been conversing with the guy via Twitter and e-mail for the past couple months, and he has been hitting with amazing regularity. That’s why I started going down this road with him last Wednesday.
We’ll see how this guy does over the next couple of weeks, and keep his record updated each day.
