Tweet of the Night goes to Jeremy Lin, who had to explain to his former teammates about a hilarious fake tweet created by Bob Lee Swagger (@CoSeezy), retweeted by Stephen Curry and Dorell Wright, as seen below:
Lmfao tears RT @StephenCurry30: Hahaha RT @COSeezy: Lmao RT @JLin7: “Back then they didnt want me, now I’m hot they all on me”
— Dorell Wright (@DWRIGHTWAY1) July 5, 2012
The fake tweet was all for a good laugh – which it got plenty of – but certainly carries a ring of truth to it, given the fact that the Houston Rockets released Lin last season, only to give him a four-year, $28.8 million offer sheet late Thursday afternoon. This, of course, does not mean that the Rockets have done anything wrong, because no one short of the Lord could have foreseen the coming of Linsanity. Unfortunately for the Rockets, all signs point to the New York Knicks matching the offer to retain the fan-favorite point guard, “poison pill” be damned.
