John Wall shared his appreciation for the support of Jamal Crawford, who gave words of encouragement for the young point guard in regards to the sudden knee issue he is going through.
Wall received some tough news on Friday, learning of a stress injury in his left knee that will sideline him for eight weeks and force him to miss the first month of the NBA season.
It’s really a shame, and you have to feel for a player anytime such devastating news arises. As Crawford mentioned, Wall has worked diligently on his game in the offseason and looked forward to the challenge of leading the Wizards to the playoffs – realistic or not. The team already has concerns with the status of big man Nene, who isn’t ready for training camp due to plantar fasciitis. Without Wall, though, the team will suffer significantly in the month of November. In the sentiments of Chris Sheridan, they may end up being “Bobcats” bad.
