Arky says
Kupchak. Nash and Howard trades changed the look of the season and reinforced the Lakers’ position as the Yankees of basketball and not just being Kobe’s Team. Probably unfair on Billy King who seems to have done stirling work to create a competitive team out of three-fifths of nothing.
A.J. says
Park is hilarious. Danny Ferry. Sure, whatever, dude.
OC says
Danny Ferry is actually my top choice too. He moved Joe Johnson’s atrocious contract (Sorry Brooklyn, but you’re the new Atlanta Hawks forever stuck in the 4-6 seed range), got out of Marvin Williams deal to get an average guard (Devin Harris) on an expiring deal and then stole Kyle Korver because the Bulls had their hands tied with their cap situation. The Louis Williams signing also replaces the scoring lost with Joe Johnson.
The Billy King pick is laughable. He managed to put together one of the worse defensive teams of all time, but I suppose you can say at least they can be a 6-8 seed.
A.J. says
By that logic, a GM joke like Jim Paxson should have been named Executive of the Year for moving Shawn Kemp’s contract. Sorry, man, Ferry is atrocious. He single-handedly destroyed the Cavaliers, and he’s going to obliterate the Hawks. 10-1 odds he tries to lure Lou Hudson and Dominique Wilkens out of retirement.
