Before selecting individual players each night for daily leagues, I try to highlight certain games. On Monday night, I did not expect the Nuggets to play so well against the Grizzlies, and thought the Hawks would absolutely destroy the Magic. Wrong on both counts, so my ATL and MEM players were disappointing.
Luck is also a factor; with a 9-man team you need everyone to produce, and I used Stephen Jackson, who suffered a broken hand. Needless to say, the week is off to a slow start. Tonight, with only three NBA games, the choices are limited, but FanDuel still has leagues and I’m going to take my best shot.

I’m keying on the Lakers-Nets game, though the rules do not allow you to select all nine players from one game and you must use at least one player from three different teams. It’s too bad there’s no way to play two centers — a Utility spot would be nice — as Brook Lopez ($7,200) and Spencer Hawes ($4,800) look good at those salaries, but Dwight Howard (whose missed free throws don’t hurt you in this format) is by far the best to own, well worth his $9,300 price tag.
Here’s my morning lineup, subject to changes until 7:00 EST. I’m going to try a few variations instead of entering exactly the same team in every league.

The ‘weak link’ is Blatche, who may not play much if the game is close. I’m also concerned about the Davis, who has a sore ankle. Thaddeus Young ($6,400) is another possibility at PF and Lavoy Allen ($4,000) also qualifies there. It seems very difficult to win without Kobe and Dwight, effectively turning tonight’s contests into how you spend the remaining $41,900 on the other seven roster spots. Good luck!
