How good was point guard Stephen Curry in Monday night’s win over the Dallas Mavericks, on the road, in overtime?
Simply put, he has never played a better game in the NBA. Not even close.
Lets take a look at what went down. The already-shorthanded Golden State Warriors got a brief scare in the fourth quarter when Curry went down after – wait for it – twisting his ankle when he landed on a Mavericks player’s foot while driving to the basket.
He slammed the floor with both hands in frustration – understandably so if you know the history of his ankle injuries – and stayed seated on the floor for several seconds. Then, he got up and walked around gingerly, before playing the most flawless – or as flawless as it could possibly get – stretch of his career.
