What a night it was for Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.
The sharp-shooter – who nearly missed Wednesday night’s game against the New York Knicks after his involvement in a fracas with Roy Hibbert – looked like he would have a tough night after making just two-of-six shots from the field in the first quarter.
He then put on an individual performance few realized he was capable of providing, as he went off for a career-high 54 points on 18-of-28 shooting, including an astounding 11-of-13 from the 3-point line – just one trey shy of tying the all-time record for 3-pointers made in a single game.
All at the Mecca of basketball, on a back-to-back night and a day after getting national attention for getting shoved to the ground like a ragdoll. Curry has now accumulated 92 points over the last two contests.

How Curry got all 54 of his points:
Playing without Andrew Bogut (back injury) and David Lee (suspension), however, the Warriors fell just short of coming out of Madison Square Garden with a victory, losing 109-105.
Even worse, he didn’t have a say in the final outcome, as some tight defense from the Knicks and perhaps some poor decision making by his teammates prevented the guard from attempting a shot in the final minute of the game.
Regardless, his peers showed great appreciation for the show he displayed on national television on twitter. Here are their reactions, but lets hear from the man himself first:
