One of the best things about seeing something incredible happen in an NBA game – be it amazing, funny, stupid, etc – is sharing the moment with folks on twitter.
And boy, was there a reaction on Sunday night.
During the not-so-close of a contest between the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers, Chris Paul threw one of his signature lobs to a rising DeAndre Jordan. For some reason, Brandon Knight decided to rise with the center. Here’s how it he went down from there:
YIKES.
This was possibly one of the sickest in-game dunks of all time, simply because of how Jordan annihilated Knight, who was literally floored by the move. If a player falls to the ground while getting dunked on, it’s usually because said player is trying to take a charge. That obviously wasn’t the case in this scenario, as the impact Knight took from Jordan in midair was simply too much to overcome. To add insult to injury, the ball bounced right off of Knight’s head after the flush by Jordan.
The guard has certainly gone through a rough stretch over the past month, suffering the wrath of Kyrie Irving during the All-Star break, losing eight of the last nine games, and now this. To cap it (hopefully for him), here is the endless amount of twitter reaction of the epic dunk and fall (which he took quite well, as you’ll see below):
