Did fans throw some hate messages towards Boston Celtics forward Courtney Lee?
After suffering a 110-100 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, their second consecutive loss and seventh loss in the last nine games, Lee shared his words of frustration on twitter for whatever impatience he may have heard from writers or fans. Here is what he had to say:
It may sound like an excuse, but Lee has a point: Kevin Garnett, the backbone of the Celtics defense, has been out for the last six games. Paul Pierce also missed Monday’s game due to personal reasons. Without the two core players of the team, a victory against any team on the road is going to be a difficult task.
The bigger concern for Lee and Boston should be this: the loss brought the Milwaukee Bucks within 1 1/2 games of the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. If the Celtics continue to falter at this rate, they may end up relinquishing their current position to end up as the eighth seed, and that means a first-round matchup against the Miami Heat. Certainly, they want to avoid that at all cost.
