Seventh Woods. This is a name that we’re all going to constantly hear about for the next four to five years.
You may or may not have seen the incredible video of this 6’2″, 14-year-old freshman that former NBA player John Salley is raving about, but it’s worth a watch either way. Again and again:
There is good reason that the clip, only about a week old, already has nearly 5.7 million views: when is the last time you saw a freshman in high school move and play like that? His athleticism is already jaw-dropping, given his age, and to borrow a quote from the great Mark Jackson, the kid makes grown-man moves. There are players of his size in the NBA that can’t do the things he is already displaying. Scarier is the fact that he’s probably still growing – in every sense of the word. If he has the proper guidance and work ethic over the next few years, he could end up being the best player with the most hype to enter the NBA since LeBron James, with one hell of a marketable name.
