Now that the Los Angeles Lakers are down and out of postseason action, Metta World Peace has freely opened up himself on twitter about a variety of topics over the past couple of days.
On Wednesday, he touched on a number of current situations, including why the Memphis Grizzlies can beat the San Antonio Spurs and how he’s not surprised by the Boston Celtics coming back against the New York Knicks. But the most notable tweet? His list of top five centers in the league
Players often complain about not having the ability to vote for awards themselves, and mostly denounce the idea of writers – or even coaches for that matter – making the decisions on who deserves what award. Well, here is an idea of what could happen if certain players had the power to vote: JaVale McGee makes it in the list of top five centers in the league over the likes of Joakim Noah, Tyson Chandler, Roy Hibbert, Nikola Vucevic, Al Jefferson, Nikola Pekovic, and really, the list can go on and on.
Voting for McGee as one of the top five centers in the league is about as accurate as voting for Jordan Crawford for the Sixth Man of the Year award.
