Boston Celtics rookie big man from Gonzaga, Kelly Olynyk, may not have been turning heads in the Orlando Summer League with amazing athleticism, but he left his mark and certainly made an impression with his offensive skill.
Not including Friday’s game, Olynyk had proven himself to be an effective scorer, averaging 19.5 points on 57-percent shooting to go along with eight rebounds and just over two steals in 26.5 minutes per contest. That comes from a sample size of four Summer League games.
Now, he is stepping up his game even more.

A visit to the Gatorade Sports Science Institute is something generally associated with All-Star NBA athletes in their prime, such as Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, who first visited with Gatorade scientists in 2011.
It is truly a great thing to see players taking an interest in their health at such an early stage in their careers.
This is a great first step to what Celtics fans hope to be a promising career. Now, Boston just needs to get him on a plane to Houston so he can start training with Hakeem Olajuwon.
