J.J. Redick, the newest sharp shooter for the Los Angeles Clippers, has never been one to cause news-worthy drama or problems off the court.
That reputation took an interesting turn on Tuesday when the site MediaTakeOut.com shared a copy of an apparent “abortion contract” between Redick and his former girlfriend Vanessa Lopez. Here are some of the details of this wild contract, from Lana Bandoim of Examiner:
Both J.J. Redick and Vanessa Lopez signed the contract created by their lawyers. Although the contract dates back to 2007, it has only recently become public. The document asked Lopez to provide evidence she terminated her pregnancy. It also forced Redick to give the model a 30-day notice before ending the relationship. Furthermore, the contract had a special section that indicated it could not be used to prove J.J. was the father of the child she was expecting.
Redick decided to break his silence and address this image-ruining story:
I’d like to respond to the outrageous, false and malicious media reports regarding a prior relationship between myself and V Lopez in 2007-

Ms Lopez was not and has never been pregnant with a child fathered by me. — JJ Redick (@JJRedick) July 24, 2013
And Ms. Lopez did not and has never terminated a pregnancy of a child fathered by me. — JJ Redick (@JJRedick) July 24, 2013
Continued attention to these lies is severely damaging to myself and my family. Thank you.

Given Redick’s lack of history with such questionable situations and Lopez’s history of being known as a troublemaker with a number of NBA players (here, here and here), my vote of confidence goes with what Mr. Redick is saying about this whole ordeal. His only mistake may have been putting himself in a relationship with a woman who appears to look for encounters and troubles with successful athletes.

to begin. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks
