Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes turned plenty of heads during his first postseason appearance this past season – particularly against the San Antonio Spurs in the second round. He has become a fan favorite and a candidate to become a future star in the league.
Along with teammate Klay Thompson, Barnes has been spending time showcasing his multiple skill sets in training camp for the 2013 USA Basketball Men’s U19 World Championship team. Both players were invited for the camp and hoped to make an impression on the coaches during Team USA Showcase on Thursday. Before the start of the Showcase, Barnes tweeted the following to show his appreciation of the opportunity.
He then went out and posted some impressive numbers in just 17 minutes of action: 18 points on six-of-11 shooting, including two 3-pointers, three rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot. His most notable play came on this nasty left-handed facial over Ryan Anderson:
John Henson of the Milwaukee Bucks saw the play and shared his thoughts on the impressive dunk:
Watch your head!!!!!! Lol
