No matter how you look at it, Jalen Rose had a successful NBA career.
He turned in 13 seasons, averaging 14.3 points and made his name as a hard worker, a great teammate, and one of the better trash talkers in the league.
He is famously known as a member of the Fab Five.
During his professional years, he was notably on the wrong side of Kobe Bryant’s 81-point game, and also help inspire a move, coined by Kobe as “Jalen Rose’d.”
But Rose never won an NBA championship, an MVP or made first-team All-NBA. He will never be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
But today, according to Rose, he will proudly made a member of the Detroit HIgh School Hall of Fame.
Extremely proud to be an inductee into the Detroit HS Hall of Fame!

It could be said that Rose is having a better career off the court than he is on the court. He has been a strong ESPN NBA analyst for several years now and one of the hosts of ESPN’s NBA pre-game show with Michael Wilbon, Magic Johnson and Bill Simmons.
He’s an excellent contributor to Grantland, hosting his own podcast, The Jalen Rose Show, and chipping in elsewhere.
He’s developed quite a presence on Twitter, currently with over 100,000 followers.
There’s more to Rose, though, and a large part of that is his dedication to his hometown of Detroit. It is well-known that Rose has established the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy.
“@JalenRose: Extremely proud to be an inductee into the Detroit HS Hall of Fame!”(Congrats my Dude)
