Maggette likely to retire

Corey Maggette was waived by the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday. He recently said if he didn’t make the team he would retire, reports Jeff MacDonald of the San Antonio Express-News. The veteran is now likely to call it quits after a 14-year NBA career. The Spurs also waived Marcus Cousin and Myck Kabongo.
Jennings out three weeks

Detroit Pistons’ guard Brandon Jennings will miss three weeks with an impacted wisdom tooth and hairline fracture at the base of the tooth, the Pistons announced Tuesday. After the three week period is up he will be re-evaluated. Jennings joined the Pistons this offseason after spending the first four years of his career in Milwaukee.
