Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, who is rehabilitating his surgically repaired Achilles tendon, sent a cryptic message via social media Tuesday afternoon.
— Kobe Bryant (@kobebryant) November 5, 2013
The message, which has fans on both Twitter and Instagram hypothesizing its meaning, raises more questions than answers.
Some Los Angeles fans are, irrationally hoping beyond hope, that the message has some correlation to Bryant’s possible return date. The presumption being a return against the Memphis Grizzlies (#bearhunt) with the Lakers wearing the new Hollywood Nights alternate jersey (#blackout).
@kobebryant hmmm grizzlies game or which game lakers wearing Hollywood night jerseys.

Yet, as LA Times’ Eric Pincus points out, Bryant has in the past used the term “blackout” to refer to extensive workouts that incorporate running, offensive drills, cardio and weightlifting.
‘Blackout,’ as Bryant described in 2011 at his annual youth basketball camp, the Kobe Basketball Academy, is the ‘first segment of my on-court workouts.’
As it is also noted, he has a line of “blackout” Mamba V sneakers.
So, as you can probably guess, there are many different possibilities and the only person who truly knows what #blackout #bearhunt means is Kobe Bryant himself.
