Thursday night brings with it football — a smorgasbord of games, college and pro. There are two top 10 matchups in college football. As No. 6 Baylor and No. 10 Oklahoma face off, the No. 3 Oregon Ducks will be preparing to battle the No. 5 Stanford Cardinal.
The NFL’s Thursday night game features the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings.
And, for basketball fans, a possible preview of the NBA finals between the Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat may have you occupied for the earlier part of the evening. That game, however, is followed by a night cap featuring Dwight Howard’s first game against the Los Angeles Lakers since leaving for the Houston Rockets.
The potential matchup has former LA Lakers great and current NBA on TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal calling for a phenomenal performance from the Rockets center.
How will D Howard perform tonight in first game against Lakers. I need stats let’s go

As you may know, Shaq has a long history of criticizing and hounding Howard for his play.
You can see examples here and here, among many other places.
Shaq has, at times, been supportive of Dwight (here for example). Whether it is genuine or an example of arrogance under the guise of false humility, only he would know.
However, there doesn’t seem to be any malice in Thursday’s tweet. Perhaps he has softened a bit on Howard.
Still, it’s hard to imagine that Shaq will ever accept him among the ranks of the historically elite big men until his statistical contribution to the game improves.
