It appears posting photos and videos of taking public transportation to NBA games in New York is becoming more and more popular.
After the San Antonio Spurs thumped the New York Knicks 120-89 at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Manu Ginobili captured video on his way out of the arena.
Ginobili, along with other teammates, left the team locker room and spent several minutes on a journey to the Madison Square Garden train station.
This isn’t the first time a player has made it known about taking public transportation at a Knicks game. In the season opener, New York forward Metta World Peace took the subway and mingled with fans on the ride.
Putting aside how these players arrive and leave the arena, what’s been happening on the court at MSG is much more alarming. It’s not quite a train wreck, but it’s close.
The Knicks are already under the microscope and are being criticized for their play this season. The record of 2-4 isn’t miserable but could definitely be much better considering they’ve already lost to the Charlotte Bobcats and Minnesota Timberwolves at home this season.
Howard Beck of Bleacher Report tweeted about hearing “Fire Woodson” chants in the arena. Coach Mike Woodson is rumored to be on a tight leash and could find himself out of a job if the losses keep coming.
The waters are rough in New York right now, until everything settles, expect the rumors surrounding the team to swirl.
