What does a star NBA center do when he is recovering from a sprained left knee?
Well, if your Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol, you go to the movies.
The NBA’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year took time to take in a feature film on Monday, opting to watch Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips.

The injury, which Gasol sustained at home in the second quarter against the San Antonio Spurs over a week ago, was originally thought to keep him out of action as long as 10 weeks.
Last week, however, he told the Associated Press that he intends to rush his return.
They try to give me a week – three, four, six. I don’t care what number they say. I told them, ‘As soon as I can put my foot down on the floor and I can walk, I’m going to rush it and speed the process.'”
Now, according to Ken Powtak, the Grizzlies are expecting him to return in three and four weeks.
A return to action in a month’s time will be a great boon to Memphis’ hopes to stay in contention in the highly competitive Western Conference this year, as the Grizzlies have looked quite pedestrian with Gasol absent.
