It took nearly two years, but Andrew Bogut of the Golden State Warriors finally got his chance to play in front of the crowd he called home for six plus seasons on Tuesday.
The Warriors played the Milwaukee Bucks just twice last year, and Bogut was unable to play in the team’s only visit to Milwaukee back in January due to a nagging ankle issue.
Despite missing so much time during his tenure with the Bucks due to a menu of injuries, the fans always appreciated the big man’s gritty style of play. Upon hearing his name in the starting lineup intros, the crowd gave him a warm reception.
Unfortunately for them, that’s about all they had to cheer for. The streaking Warriors easily beat the Bucks, the worst team in the league, 101-80. Bogut finished his night with 8 points, 12 rebounds and three assists in just 24 minutes.
After the contest, the center acknowledged the fans for showing great class:
Great win! #10 in a row! Thanks for the kind words and reception tonight @bucks fans, very classy. Off to Brooklyn…. #cheersbigears

The Warriors are just one win away from tying a franchise record for most consecutive victories. Another win against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday would make them the first team ever to sweep a seven-game road trip.
