Somethings cannot be explained—except by the person doing them.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban often does—or says—things that he alone can explain. At times, the best way to explain something he has done is an indirect way of explaining nothing at all: Mark Cuban is going to do Mark Cuban things.
Thursday brought with it another such moment when the Cuban took to Twitter to explain his acceptance and tolerance of the middle finger.
Future generations are going to laugh at us for making a big deal about middle fingers. Who cares I’m ok w anyone giving me the finger 🙂

This, of course, led to an open door policy for all who would want to express themselves with their middle fingers.
If u feel the need to dissipate anger via your digits. That’s far better than acting out #fingersup — Mark Cuban (@mcuban) January 23, 2014
What followed this tweet was a string of fans, whose bird finger selfies had been retweeted by Cuban. Here is a sample—if this offends or bothers you, please avert your eyes.
@mcuban but I actually like you, so I guess that kinda takes the sting out of this middle finger pic. 🙁 pic.twitter.com/HIbOn7PrC7 — Brandon Kinzly (@KinzlyBrandon) January 23, 2014

One fan even took to tweeting a picture of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. posing with a middle finger. Considering all that he later lived (and died) for and that we are just days removed from celebrating his life, we’ll refrain from reposting that tweet.
If anyone experiences any mild or worse physical or emotional trauma from the retweets of middle fingers please let me know #fingersup — Mark Cuban (@mcuban) January 23, 2014
From this point on, Cuban’s Twitter timeline evolved into an complete and unabashed bird sanctuary.
