Metta World Peace has never been the most logical player in the NBA.
We all know he has a long history of media moments, and Sunday is just another one on the list. Early on Sunday, before the Knicks 1:00 PM game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, World Peace spoke to the media about Saturday night’s incident involving Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart.
Smart was involved in an altercation with a Texas Tech fan, whom he shoved after the fan allegedly made a remark that caused Smart to lose his cool.
Smart was suspended three games for the altercation by the NCAA. World Peace, no stranger to fan altercations, was asked about the incident before Sunday’s game. He started off strong, and well, you’ll see where he starts to lose it…
If a fan screams something at me, I don’t know what that person has been through, you know. He could have or she could have grown up rough or maybe in a single family household. I don’t know what would make somebody scream negative things at somebody, maybe they’re just having fun. In a pro game, I’ve learned to accept it because they pay to watch us play and hey, I appreciate it. Then I go home and I finish watching Breaking Bad. It’s that simple for me. I’m actually on House of Cards now. I just finished Breaking Bad. I wish there was a Season 6 actually, because Breaking Bad was amazing. Have you seen it?
World Peace wasn’t done for the day.
Despite only having two points in one minute of action today in a 112-110 loss to the Thunder, Metta managed to draw eyes on Twitter after the game.
