For second-year guard Dion Waiters, it has been a mostly-tumultuous season with all the rumors surrounding his negative attitude in the locker room and his unwillingness to get along with star point guard Kyrie Irving.
With the Cleveland Cavaliers holding a 21-33 record, the team appeared certain in wanting to trade the disgruntled shooting guard. They are, however, on a season-best five-game winning streak after easily beating the Philadelphia 76ers 114-85 on Tuesday, and there have been talks of the two wanting to work things out for the better.
During the game against a lifeless 76ers team, Waiters went in for a big dunk against center Spencer Hawes:
Unfortunately, Waiters ended up getting injured on the play when he hyperextended his knee and was down for a while. Luckily, he avoided anything serious and provided an update for those worried about his status after the contest:
Thanks for the prayers & concerns nothing is torn thank the man above for that. Just sore as hell but I’ll be fine. #Beliveland
