NEW YORK — Raymond Felton’s night got a whole lot lot worse after the Knicks lost to the Dallas Mavericks at the buzzer. He ended up in jail on felony weapons charges.
Felton was due in court this morning after being arrested early in the morning on three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, according to a New York Police Department spokesman.
Felton was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a firearm, which are felonies, and fourth-degree possession of a firearm, which is a misdemeanor, the spokesman said.
The charges stem from possessing a gun he wasn’t registered to have, according to the spokesman, but The New York Post said he allegedly pointed a gun at a woman. His wife, Ariane Raymondo-Felton, recently filed for divorce, The woman involved was his girlfriend, the Post reported, citing unnamed sources.
Felton, 29, turned himself in at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday and was questioned at the 20th Precinct in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. New York City has strict gun possession laws.

I’d sooner eat a large pile of dog shit, and watch losing seasons from the Knicks for the rest of my life, before I ever became a Brooklyn Nyets fan.

We’re almost there – Manhattan Knicks fans soon to become Brooklyn Nets fans. I once rooted for both Knicks and Nets, but after realizing how arrogant the Knicks organization was, the transition was complete. Stephen A. Smith had been on the Nets road trip. He might be making the transition, if not for the fact that his ratings would decline if he talked Nets all the time. Brooklyn’s move over the weekend with Collins, was also evidence of a well run organization.
And if Lakers fans could realize their dismal future, they would be converting to Clippers fans.
