When the New York Knicks visited the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in the week and Tyson Chandler had Kevin Love on him, the center was more aggressive than usual (he ended up with 15 points in the win).
After seeing some success in the first half, here is what he had to say when asked how he could take advantage of the mismatch against Love:
Presumably, he said what he said in a partly-playful manner. He and Love have a history from being on the USA Basketball team in the past, and all reports indicate that they are actually close, so there is no reason to believe that Chandler would seriously put Love under the bus in that manner.
So how did Love react when told of Chandler’s comments during half time? Not so nicely, according to Phil Ervin of Fox Sports North:
Kevin Love, in response to Tyson Chandler’s comments about his defense: “F*** him. I don’t give a s***.”

That could have been a playful joke on Love’s part, too. Maybe. Just to be sure, though, Chandler decided to clear the air to make sure that there is absolutely no misunderstanding about what he truly meant.
A lot has been made of my comment about K.Love, I was joking! Wanted to get that off my chest bcuz he is a dear friend to me.

I think he is 1 of if not the best PF in this game & would never seriously insult his game like that

That should defuse whatever beef people may have wanted to make of the situation.
