It’s always a bad night when you lose a game in the NBA.
Naturally, Marcin Gortat of the Washington Wizards wasn’t feeling too good after losing 98-85 to the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday. The center could do little to stop Al Jefferson, who scored 26 points on 13-of-20 shooting from the field, and the Bobcats reached within 2 1/2 games of overtaking the Wizards for the sixth seed in the East to avoid a dreaded first-round matchup against the Miami Heat or Indiana Pacers. Gortat’s night would get worse, however, as he found himself stuck on the road after the game due to a destroyed tire:
Damn what a bad night:(((( we lost and on the way home i destroyed my tired!!!! Seating and waiting for helppppp:(((( #damnroads!!!

Talk about insult to injury. As if his night wasn’t ruined badly enough, former teammate Kendall Marshall jumped in and picked on the center for using smiley faces instead of consoling the devastated center:
@MGortat stop usin smiley faces bruh.

Being the trooper that he is, Gortat took the ribbing well.
@KButter5 buhahaha…. Yes sir!!! I see u kid!!!! U look good in yellow 🙂

On a serious note, the Wizards had won eight of their previous 10 games prior to the loss to Charlotte, and Gortat has been an integral part of that success. They have now lost two consecutive games, but will look to get back on track against the lowly Orlando Magic on Friday.
