There aren’t a whole lot of players that mess with Tim Duncan on the basketball court, mostly because he simply goes about his business without ever really looking for any kind of trouble.
That’s never stopped Kendrick Perkins from trying, though, and the emotional center was at it again on Tuesday night in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.
Back in early April, Perkins tried to initiate trouble with Duncan by giving him a shove from the back, to no avail:
On Tuesday, Perkins was just aggressive enough to avoid real trouble with the refs while (perhaps) getting into the head of Duncan:
Duncan showed more emotion in Game 4 than he may have shown all season long – understandably so with his team trailing in double digits for much of the contest before losing 105-92. The power forward finished the contest with just nine points on three-of-eight shooting from the field to go with six rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes of play.
His girlfriend Vanessa Macias saw what Perkins did and had the following to say:
I don’t have an opinion about this Perkins fool.

Clearly, she is not a fan.
Despite the theatrics, Perkins actually had a hand in helping the Thunder contain Duncan, as he has for much of this season. According to NBA.com, Perkins held Duncan to five-of-18 shooting from the field in personal matchup situations against him during the regular season.
