From a team’s standpoint, Stephen Curry has had somewhat of a forgettable year.
Despite winning an impressive 51 games during the regular season, it was an up-and-down year for the Golden State Warriors as they failed to become one of the power-house teams of the Western Conference as many expected. On some nights, they looked about as good as any team in the league. Unfortunately, there were other nights where they looked worse than the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Ultimately, they ended up with the sixth seed and faced the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs, losing in seven games despite playing without center Andrew Bogut. Mark Jackson was subsequently fired, and the Warriors will look to start over from a philosophical standpoint with new coach Steve Kerr.
From a personal standpoint, it was another fantastic year for Curry, who once again improved and blossomed into arguably one of the top three point guards in the league. He narrowly missed the cut on making the All-NBA First Team and settled for the Second Team. He was named an All-Star starter by the fans. He set new career-highs in points (24) and assists (8.5), while finally proving himself as a reliable go-to option with the game on the line – he hit three game-winners this season.
Clearly, it was an eventful year for the rising superstar, and he’s not looking to slow down from growing at all:

Okay, so the tweet is probably more of an advertisement for Under Armour than a motivational tweet for himself. Still, there is no question that Curry will strive to become even better (cut down on those crazy turnovers) than what he became this season and put the summer to good use.
