It seems the only thing that you hear about the Minnesota Timberwolves these days is the on-again-off-again, never-ending swirl of Kevin Love trade talks. Whether the other team involved is the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Chicago Bulls or the Golden State Warriors, it almost seems to go on forever.
Where will Love end up? As of now, no one knows.
What we do know, as of Monday, is that the Wolves president of basketball operations and head coach Flip Saunders has added some reliable depth and veteran leadership at the guard position in the form of Mo Williams.

Williams, who played 74 games for the Portland Trail Blazers last year and is entering his 12th NBA season, has agreed to a one-year deal worth $3.75 million. He is still a very reliable backcourt contributor, having averaged 9.7 points and 4.3 assists in Rip City. He took to Twitter to discuss the decision to relocate to the midwest.

The Wolves could benefit from some veteran leadership in the backcourt. The guard play for Minnesota has been rather inconsistent, between Rubio’s dismal shooting and Alexey Shved’s ball handling woes.
Only time will tell if Williams is joining a team vying for low playoff seed or one positioning itself for an early rebuild as the world still waits for a conclusion to the Kevin Love trade saga.
