NBA athletes like to look good while playing in front of large crowds. It makes plenty of sense, as their image is just as much a part of their brand just as the quality of their play is.
Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is bolstering his image with his run with USA Basketball in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. After five games in the Group Phase, he has averaged 9.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 13.4 minutes of action.
It is only reasonable to expect that he’d want a good cut to help him look fresh in international play. Unfortunately, it seems that he did not get the cut he had hoped for.
Barber just F’d my head up! Got me looking like

A fan challenged him to upload a photo, to which he declined.
Can’t even do it RT @DeeSoYRN: @boogiecousins bet you won’t upload a pic — DeMarcus Cousins (@boogiecousins) September 5, 2014
In lieu of his poorly cut hair, he has vowed to wear a headband in tomorrow’s Round of 16 game against Mexico.
Headband will be on point tomorrow!!

It seems that we will all have to wait for Saturday’s game to see just how bad the haircut might be.
