Media Day for the NBA was well underway on Monday, and that meant plenty of team photos and talk of excitement about the new season from all the players around the league.
Included in that long list of players who shared their thoughts about what’s to come was point guard Shaun Livingston, who signed a lucrative three-year deal with the Golden State Warriors in the offseason.
Livingston has been out since August 15 and was slated to miss between 6-8 weeks due to arthroscopic surgery on his right big toe, which means he will be in line to be available by the start of the regular season.
After spending most of his career trying to establish a role for himself in the league, Livingston finally carved out a role as a playmaker who can be lethal in the post against smaller players with the Brooklyn Nets last season. He will now look to replicate that success as a backup to Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
