Since it’s Thanksgiving, we’ll use a few photos from around the NBA that players posted celebrating the holiday. Of course, there were plenty all over social media, but these were the few that I went with to share.
We all know it’s the time of year for family and friends to spend time together and share what they are thankful for. It’s also the time of year in which you’re allowed to eat as much as you want, as fast as you want, however you want it.
Since it’s been a long day and I’ve had three stops for Turkey Day, I’ll get right down to the photos.
First up is Anderson Varejao, who posted this to his Instagram.
“#myCLEfamily”. In the background is teammate Matthew Dellavedova, two international players on the Cavaliers roster. It’s nice to see them able to celebrate our American holiday with the family and friends they’ve made throughout their careers.
Next was Boris Diaw, who posted an awesome photo to his Instagram as well.
“Happy thanksgiving!!!!!!”.
This picture fits exactly what happens on Thanksgiving. There really are no words needed to explain except Diaw’s beneath the picture. Thanks, Boris.
And finally, to mix things up a bit for Thanksgiving, Pau Gasol had this to share on his Instagram account.
“So much fun playing ping pong with my teammates!! It felt good to come out on top of the tournament we’ve put together! #ThanksgivingPingPongChampion He disfrutado mucho jugando al ping ping con mis compañeros!! Y además he ganado el torneo que hemos organizado! #CampeonDePingPongDiaDeAccionDeGracias”.
A little ping pong tournament for Turkey Day from the Chicago Bulls. Gasol is the clear winner, so does that mean Aaron Brooks in the background was embarrassed on the table? He looks like he really wanted to win that tournament.
I also just realized these are all international players in today’s POTD. Oh well, Happy Thanksgiving!!
