On Tuesday the NBA and adidas unveiled the 2015 All-Star Game uniforms that will be worn for the upcoming All-Star Weekend in New York City this February. Despite uniforms in the recent past being extremely flashy, adidas instead made the jerseys and its ensemble seem classic and simple.
With a more retro feel to them, they do have some interesting features to them that will make them feel new and unique. The jerseys will have the players’ first and last names on the back of them, and will use personal accolades on their warm-up jackets/shirts including MVP honors, Rookie of the Year awards and NBA Titles.
All of the following photos were released by the NBA and adidas.
The Western Conference jersey and short, along with the warm-up jacket, shooting shirt and pant. You’ll notice on the sleeve of the jacket are the patches for any personal accolades, MVP, NBA Titles, and Rookie of the Year awards, as well as the number of All-Star appearances for each player that will be indicated on satin patches on the warm-ups.
Running down the side of the jersey and short, there are five stars that represent New York City’s five boroughs with a unique pattern for each one. Here’s a closer look at the stars and their patterns.
Queens has a pattern inspired by the iconic Unisphere, a wave pattern for Staten Island and its surrounding waters, a taxi-cab pattern for Manhattan, a vinyl record pattern for the Bronx and history of hip-hop, and bricks that represent Brooklyn and the brownstone houses and buildings that make up the most populous borough.
The front of each jersey (above), the East in white with black name lettering and blue numbers, with the West in black with white name lettering and red numbers.
Below is the back of the jerseys that will feature the players’ full name, a first in an NBA All-Star game.
The jerseys are refreshing and have the feel of some of the older unis from the 80’s and 90’s. The colors seem normal compared to the past few years, and the design is simple while still looking unique.
In my opinion, the jerseys look pretty sick. It’ll be nice to see them live when the players suit up for the 64th NBA All-Stare Game on February 15, 2015 in New York City.

Best looking ASG uniforms in a LONG time. Well done Adidas. I like the personal touches too.
