The streaking Golden State Warriors had a scare on Monday against the Minnesota Timberwolves when defensive anchor Andrew Bogut left just two minutes into the game and remained out for the remainder of the contest due to what the team called a “knee irritation”.
Even without the best defensively rated player in the league, the Warriors easily got by the depleted Timberwolves 102-86, needing Stephen Curry to play only three quarters. The point guard ended his night with 21 points on 10-of-21 shooting from the field, four rebounds, seven assists, three steals and a block in just 31 minutes of action. With the victory, Golden State extended its franchise-best winning streak to 13.
Apparently, Bogut had been dealing with knee tendinitis for nearly a week but clarified his status with the following tweet:
Keep it rolling @warriors ! Ill be good nothing too serious.

The center also thoroughly enjoyed a joke from a fan, referencing a strange drama story between Bogut and Mark Jackson from last year:
@c_mullan12 lmao

@c_mullan12 you sir made me laugh something crazy!

Basically, Jackson accused Bogut of injuring his shoulder in his sleep, which the center had a sharp reply to. Given how ridiculous he found Jackson’s comments to be, it’s no surprise that Bogut found such great humor in the joke made by one of his fans.
