The audacity of some people. Some people presume to know what’s going on in your life and make their judgments without regard for the truth.
It’s a sad reality, but reality nonetheless. Some people just think they know you. They make assertions about you and make backhanded or overt insults about you on social media.
Such is the case with Mo Williams, who left the Portland Trail Blazers as a free agent in the offseason and signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves. A fan-run knock-off Blazers Twitter handle made the assumption that Williams was after money when he left Portland.
Hi @mowilliams! Your team is the worst of W. Conference and @trailblazers is 2nd. Are u happy for changing these teams for just $1M more?

Williams responded with much more poise than many might have.
Dude relax, they didn’t want me back. Just leave alone. ThxRT @Blazers_snba: Hi @mowilliams! Your team is the worst of W. (1/2)

The only parties that truly know the details of Williams departure from Portland are the Blazers management, Williams and (possibly) anyone in their inner circles. Fake Twitter fan accounts should take them at their word when one of them addresses the situation, especially from a first-hand account such as this.
