The day is finally here. It’s Christmas time for those who recognize the holiday. It means family, friends, food and, of course, basketball.
I’m sure you were like me this morning and throughout the day. Got up and did the whole opening of presents, then got ready to go to your relatives to see your loved ones and have an amazing Christmas.
But, when the games started at noon today, you were basically a shell of your former self.
You were nonexistent at the lunch/dinner table, you were downstairs or off in a room watching the game on a small tube TV from the ’90s. When people talked to you, you gave answers that didn’t make sense because you were literally paying zero attention to what the questions were.
So, if you were like me today, bravo. You made it through the day watching as much basketball you could get your eyes on and made sure you did so every moment you had the ability to do so.
Anyways, to get this show on the road, I saw a few pictures that made me laugh today that I wanted to use.
This was from earlier in the day on Christmas, posted by Zach LaVine to his Instagram.
“Merry Christmas yall!”.
These athletes really enjoy their photo opportunities with Santa. However, this is probably the best one yet.
That’s a grown man sitting on top of another grown man (Santa!), holding a present in one hand and holding the other grown man with the other hand. Did that make sense?
Either way, it’s an awesome freaking picture, and LaVine is on the “Nice” list for this one.
Then I came across this photo that Russell Westbrook posted to his Instagram on Christmas night.
“Country song coming right up!!!!! Thanks suga@ninamari3_ #swaggg #whynot #abouttoplayallnight#merrychristmas”.
The best part about this photo is that I’ve made myself ready for something like this from Russ. Haven’t you seen his style after games?
It’s just a great picture to me that one of the most exciting, emotional, explosive players in the league got an acoustic guitar for Christmas. It’s perfect.
Also, I really am expecting him to put out a country song. That’s what we’ve become accustomed to from Russ since his bursting onto the scene: anything.
Before I forget and go enjoy the rest of this amazing holiday, let me say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Hope everyone had a great day and time with their family, friends and loved ones!
