The surprising Milwaukee (young) Bucks have already surpassed their entire win totals from all of last year just 32 games into the 2014-15 season. In a weak Eastern Conference, they’re now holding the sixth seed with a record of 16-16.
They won all of 15 games last year, and were a team that seemed lost. That all seems to be changing now, and with a good crop of young players and talent, Jason Kidd and company are trying to right the ship.
How are they playing well above their expectations? It’s the team chemistry. How do they get that you might ask?
Movie night. Simple as that.
John Henson, the three-year man out of North Carolina, posted this photo to Instagram of him and his team out at the movies on Tuesday.
They were out catching the new movie The Gambler, a film starring Mark Wahlberg that hit theaters on Christmas Day.
Looks like Kendall Marshall and Giannis Antetokounmpo in the front row, Jared Dudley right behind them, John Henson off to the far right, and Zaza Pachulia to his left. Jerryd Bayless is in the middle of the picture looking like his giving a karate pose of some sort, with O.J. Mayo at the very bottom left giving a blank stare, with a handful of popcorn and his red Icee.
I could really go for an Icee right now, but who couldn’t?
When I first looked at the picture, I thought they had their own movie theater they rented out or something of that nature.
But with a closer look, they aren’t. They’re just at a normal theater with other people around them, which was kinda weird to me for some reason.
The older gentleman in the fifth row up in the picture thought he’d go ahead and smile for the camera too. Good job outta you, sir. But a few seats down on his right is another guy that just looks like he’s sleeping or staring at the ceiling. The movie hasn’t even started yet and he’s already dozing off.
Another thing I noticed was that they’re all sitting very far away from each other. That seems pretty rude, because you know no one is just going to walk in and sit between those guys if they can’t find a seat elsewhere.
Anyways, it’s a cool thing to see teammates bonding like this when they’re on the road. They’re set to play in Cleveland on Wednesday, so maybe they are up here close to me. Who knows.
Do you think the Cavaliers should have a movie night every night? Because those guys look like they can’t really stand each other on the court right now.
