It has been a long-time coming for Ersan Ilyasova of the Milwaukee Bucks, but the forward has finally put together a stretch he can be proud of in the month of March.
Ilyasova has been in and out of the lineup through much of the season due to an assortment of injuries and struggled to find a rhythm when he did play, as Jason Kidd constantly experimented with different lineups and rotations.
The Turk has finally found his touch in March, averaging 14.8 points on 48 percent shooting from the field – including an impressive 45.3 percent mark from the arc – to go with seven rebounds. The hot streak continued on Thursday against the Indiana Pacers for Ilyasova, scoring a career-high 34 points on an amazing 12-of-14 shooting from the field. It helped the Milwaukee Bucks reach .500 again and more importantly, built some cushion against the Miami Heat in the conference standings with a 2 1/2 game lead.
Noticing the impressive performance was fellow countryman Enes Kanter, who has been making some serious noise of his own since getting traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder:
Turk going to work tonight. Career-High 34 points for Ersan Ilyasova on 12 of 14 shooting. Congrats my man.! #BigTurk
