Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is known as one of the toughest defenders in the league in an unusual way.
Unlike other stout defenders of his size and position who usually stick to defending guys that are within range of their height, Green can guard just about anyone at various times, whether it’s a point guard or a center. It’s that versatility he has on defense that allows the Warriors to play such unique lineups and styles on offense. It’s what almost made him last year’s Defensive Player of the Year and what earned him First Team All-Defense honors.
He’s also known for being one of the biggest trash talkers in the league. He did so early on in his career, throughout the course of last season (especially against the Los Angeles Clippers), off the court and after winning the championship.
Given how much of a trash talker he was before winning the championship and what he gave us a taste of while talking about the Cleveland Cavaliers on the day of the team’s parade, it could get pretty ugly for players around the league when they have to face Green and the Warriors in November. Marreese Speights knows firsthand about Green’s trash-talking habits and is fully expecting plenty of it against other teams come next season.

Green was quick to respond to what is likely going to end up being a true statement:
@Mospeights16 ????????????????????????????????

In came Wilson Chandler, who grew up in Michigan and understood where Green was coming from:
@Mospeights16 @Money23Green that’s the Sag Nasty in him lol
