Here is how fantasy basketball works:
The play structure at Draft Street is very easy to work with. For basketball, you are given an imaginary $100,000 salary cap, from which you must select eight random players who will be in action that day/night. You need two centers, two forwards, two guards, and two utility players who can play any position.
From there, the rules are straightforward. The more points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks your player accumulates, the higher his point total will be. You get penalized for turnovers and missed shots. The team with the highest point total at the end of the night wins real money (and the DS fantasy league scoreboard auto-refreshes during the games).
Further details are available at DraftStreet, which has recently undergone a redesign and is simple to navigate.
You can also play fantasy baseball, football, golf and other sports. If you click on that DraftStreet banner, it’ll take you to a sign up page.
Action ranges from $2 entry fees to $220 entry fees, so both minnows and whales are welcome.
