Any word on the ancillary issues? MLE, reworking the draft, rookie eligibility (btw do owners care for it being 2 years removed from HS), length of contracts, changing the buyout clause for international players, ect?
All great questions! I am wondering as well. It doesn’t seem to be an issue if the Owners are able to pull back 100-200 million per year from the players to cover the leagues losses, kind of like the real economic issues, it doesn’t really fix the root of the problems, such as the questiosn you bring up.

So do you think there will be another meeting Thursday or Friday?
I don’t think we will see another meeting until next week. If I remember correctly, a players only meeting is on Friday.

So you think the first two weeks of the season will be canceled then? Or do you think Stern will push that monday date back seeing they have closed the gap a sustainable amount?
hes been pushing it back every passing deadline, I was in opinion that the owners hold all the power and that they got everything they wanted. with Sheridan pointing out how close the two sides are, its hard to be a pessimistic again. I think it starts on time as well.
