Chris: good call with Batum. I think he is a star in the making.
Forecasting is always an act of bravery, akin to swimming naked! Only when the tide turns does it reveal the foolishness of the endeavor.
Given the schedule, it is even braver than a regular season to make a forecast before the first game. If getting it right, no one predicted a Mavs win for the 2011 season, similarly hope for a surprising Spurs championship for 2012, as they are no one’s fans to even reach the Western Confrence finals
Nice try, fellas. You do realize that Ricky Rubio is now in his rookie year in the NBA?
Ricky Rubio doesn’t score enough to be rookie of the year. He averaged 6.5 ppg in Euroleague bball last year. If he averages above 5 ppg in NBA I would be shocked! So, no award for Rubio.
Wow Blake Griffin as MVP in his 2nd year? Seems like he’ll suffer from the same issue that Lebron and Wade have…sharing a team with another bonafide superstar. Griffin and Paul playing well together means a lot of voters will discredit their individual work somewhat.
