Steve Nash is on an expiring contract with a bad team.
One day, he will join the ring of honor in Phoenix. But he also still has a couple good years left in him, and it would not surprise me in the least if he joined the New York Knicks next season, signing for the mid-level exception.
Nash loves New York, lives there in the offseason and even plays in a recreational soccer league in Central Park.

i feel nash should stay with phoenix suns. this year, they are making a nice little run for the playoffs and can upset a couple of good teams while in there. if they can do good this year, a couple of more years would not hurt. LOL the Knicks propaganda never ends. If Nash is a trendy loser with no real desire to win a championship, then the Knicks are the team for him.

The Knicks blew it in the Melo trade. They were building a championship team and gave it away.
Do you think he would still go to NY if D’Antoni isn’t there? It isn’t a guarantee that Mike D’Antoni will be the Knicks coach next season. This is the last year of his contract, and if the team doesn’t perform I could easily see them going another direction. Dolan could try to bring Phil out of retirement or look elsewhere. Nash could end up going wherever D’Antoni lands, sticking in Phoenix, or possibly going to another solid contender in need of a point guard for the veteran minimum to finally get that ring (LAL? MIA?).
Phx should trade Nash to a contender, after everything he’s done for that franchise I mean c’mon. Phx had a nice run but they did themselves in by trading away draft picks for cash that turned out to be studs and contributors like Rondo, Rudy Fernandez, Nate Robinson, Deng for what? They won’t get back anything that equals Nash’s value but they need to start over and stop taking advantage of his loyalty.
