Highlight Performance:
Kevin Martin, HOU– Martin provided a fantastic scoring night on Thursday, posting 32 points, and even threw in 8 rebounds. This was his first time scoring over 30 points this season, and the third time in the past 3 games he has gone over 25. The former Sacramento King seems to have found his groove, and heavy scoring totals seem to be in the near future.
Performance to Forget:
Devin Harris, UTA– The former New Jersey Nets struggled yet again Thursday Night, scoring just 1 point on 0-7 shooting, and providing just 2 assists and 2 rebounds. Harris is having a very disappointing season, and is beginning to lose time to Earl Watson. I do not believe his starting job is in any jeopardy at this very moment, but it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on for the time being. In shallow leagues, he is droppable at this point, so don’t hesitate to cut any ties you may still have with him.
Players to Watch:
Paul Millsap, UTA– Although Millsap is a well-known solid player, he is quickly moving into top-25 territory before our eyes. He was great again Thursday Night, scoring 16 points, along with 13 rebounds (8 of which were offensive). He is quietly having a very good season after a somewhat slow start, and is now averaging about 16 points and 9 rebounds. If you can still get Millsap on the cheap, his value is on the rise in a big way, especially with Favors losing key minutes every night. Buy-low.
