Highlight Performance:
Stephen Curry, GS– Coming off his poor 3-point effort last night, Curry blew up Thursday, scoring 29 points, dishing out 12 assists, grabbing 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. This was a huge night, as he stuffed the stat sheet from all angles, but this is the kind of upside Curry possesses. Other than his troublesome ankle which has given him issues throughout the season, when healthy, Curry has posted huge numbers, especially scoring. Although he posts the occasional dud, he can post monstrous numbers on any given night.
Performances to Forget:
Nene Hilario, DEN– The big man for the Nuggets was never a big rebound guy, but he often made up for it with his scoring ability. However, only averaging around 13 points a game this season, he is turning out to be somewhat of a disappointment. Thursday night was another example, as he scored just 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. He has been relatively quiet all season, and this seems like a team that is not too concerned about getting him the ball. Nene just has too much downside right now to be trusted.
Players to Watch:
Greivis Vasquez, NOH– With Jarret Jack and Eric Gordon injured, and Marco Belinelli struggling, Vasquez walks in as almost the last guy standing. On Thursday, he led the Hornets in minutes (33:49), scoring (16), and assists (5). The Hornets are a bad team, but sometimes bad teams can produce solid fantasy assets. For the time being, consider Vasquez a solid pick-up and a great value for any DraftStreet gurus.
