That right there is a $100,000 bill.
These notes were printed from December 18, 1934 through January 9, 1935 and were issued by the Treasurer of the United States to Federal Reserve Banks only against an equal amount of gold bullion held by the Treasury Department. The notes were used only for official transactions between Federal Reserve Banks and were not circulated among the general public.
The president in the center is Woodrow Wilson. It would take you 10 Salmon P. Chase bills to equal one Woody.
Or, it would take a stack of 10,000 Benjamins ($100 dollar bills) to get you to 100K.
Funny money, eh?
Well, you get to spend funny money here at SheridanHoops.com in our weekly freeroll fantasy basketball contest, in which you get a salary cap of $100,000 to pick eight players — two guards, two centers, two forwards and two utility players.
You add up their positive statistics at the end of the night, subtract their negative statistics, and the entrant with the most points wins actual cash.
There is a $350 prize pool put up by Draft Street, our newsletter sponsor (click here to subscribe to it), and it is not funny money.
It is real cash, and they send it to you — either via PayPal or snail mail or an electronic funds transfer. You choose.
The top seven finishers split the money. (Our overnight intern, Brian Kilkenny, placed a respectable 12th in our previous contest Monday). Brian writes our nightly fantasy updates and posts NBA highlight videos when 90 percent of the country is sleeping.
The rules:
Again, you pick eight players. There is a premium on blocks and steals. They are worth 2 points each, which means getting a guy like Josh Smith who fills up the stat sheet is paramount to your chances of success (although he can kill you, too, if he misses a ton of shots and accumulates too many turnovers. I played in a 10-man, $5 contest last night, and Smith’s three turnovers and six misses kept me out of the money. I finished fourth, just one point behind the guy head of me, who cashed. And I had Brian Scalabrine (DNP-CD) in my lineup.)
Second, assists are worth 1.5 points apiece, but you lose one point for each turnover. So a high assist guy with a low assist-to-turnover ratio is not necessarily a good player to have on your team.
Third, guys who grab a lot of rebounds and convert them at a high percentage are valuable, since you gain 1.25 points for every rebound and one point for every point scored.
You lose a point for every shot a player misses, be it from the field or the free throw line.

Again, it is free.
DraftStreet will new entrants a follow-up e-mail offering a $25 bonus to play in their cash games, but there is no obligation, and your e-mail privacy will be respected. You can continue playing in our freerolls all season without ever spending a dime.
If you sign up early, then learn later in the day that one of your players has been scratched, you can replace him up until 7 p.m. EST.
So go ahead and give it a shot, and best of luck to all. Again, click here for the link for tonight’s contest.
My team tonight is LeBron James, Brandon Jennings, Marc Gasol, Danny Granger, Anderson Varejao, Lamar Odom, Toney Douglas and Ryan Hollins.
