- LeBron James tied a career-high Monday by shooting 76.2 percent (16-21 FG) , matching a similar shooting performance he had against the Hawks last season (16-21 FG, 3/18/11). Even Though James picked on almost everyone defending him, he did the bulk of his work against Carlos Delfino, scoring 15 of his game-high 35 points against him.
- Caron Butler, in his return to Dallas, scored a season-high 23 points, and just missed hitting the go ahead three with less than 5 seconds left. He also received his championship ring from the Mavs in the pre-game ceremonies, followed by hitting his first three shots from long range in the first quarter.
- For the second consecutive game, the Hornets only suited up nine players. Emeka Okafor, Eric Gordon, Jarrett Jack, Jason Smith, Carl Landry are all out with injuries; meanwhile, the Jazz suited everyone up, as they do not have one injury. They are now 3-8 on the road this season.
- Coming into Monday night’s game, Jason Richardson had strung up three straight games of at least three 3-pointers. His streak was snapped Monday night against the Timberwolves.
- The Warriors gave away bobble-head dolls of former PG Tim Hardaway to the first 10,000 fans who entered as part of the franchise’s tribute to the “Run DMC” trio of the early 1990s.
