I hate to continue to post tweets about the whole Jeremy Lin phenomenon, but this seems like the start of a waning story. The Knicks lost to the lowly New Orleans Hornets after winning seven in a row, and it came in an unlikely fashion. Looking sloppy since the opening tip, the Knicks, due in large part to Lin’s NBA season-high 9 turnovers, lost at home. This was a considerable upset as the Hornets are completely depleted with injuries (Eric Gordon, Emeka Okafor, Jarret Jack, Carl Landry, Jason Smith), and the Knicks are as hot as they come. Lin is starting to show heavy signs of mental and physical fatigue. When Carmelo Anthony returns, he needs to understand his role on the court, and improve wherever possible. I have not lost faith in Lin, but the Knicks need to get themselves together for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks, who come in with a six-game winning streak.
