NEW YORK — Maybe one day they’ll rename it the Weekly LeBron James Award.
James was named the NBA’s Player of the Week for the 35th time in his career and the fourth time this season. (He got it five times last season, his first in Miami).
James and Kevin Durant were this week’s recipients of the award, which goes to one player from each conference for games played Mon., Feb. 13, through Sun., Feb. 19.
James led Miami to a 4-0 week, averaging 27.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.0 steals. James shot .623 from the field, .905 from the foul line and .500 from 3-point range, tallying 25 or more points three times, and posting a 35-point effort on Feb. 13 during a 114-96 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Durant helped Oklahoma City to a 3-1 week which included wins over the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets. Durant averaged 32.0 points and 8.0 rebounds, and shot .585 from the field, .917 from the foul line and .588 from long distance. Durant’s career-high 51 points on Feb. 19 propelled the Thunder to a 124-118 win over the Nuggets.

LeBron James, Miami Heat
Feb. 13 @ Milwaukee: 35 points, eight rebounds and three assists in a 114-96 win over the Bucks.
Feb. 14 @ Indiana: 23 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and four steals in a 105-90 win over the Pacers.
Feb. 19 vs. Orlando: 25 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists as the Heat upended the Magic 90-78.
Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder
Feb. 14 vs. Utah: 21 points, six rebounds and two blocks during a 111-85 win over the Jazz.
Feb. 17 vs. Golden State: 23 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in a 110-87 win over the Warriors.
Feb. 19 vs. Denver: 51 points and added eight rebounds, three assists and four steals in a 124-118 win over the Nuggets.
